Initial interview on I-485

Does anyone has a I-485 interview recently? I would appreciate if you can share your experience in NJ.

I have received an intial interview letter on my I-485 application Priority date is in June 2007.

Do they take the originals?

Is it family based or Employment based? Any past criminal record or out of status issues?

For my earlier post about PD, processing times, you replied that they just keep the file aside if PD is not current. How is he called for interview if his priority date is June'07? Do they call EB 485 also for interview?

Hence my questions to OP. They can call for interview and keep it aside after that till PD is current before approving. In many cases, they even send it back to service center from local office and let it sit. The person impacted suffers amidst these transfers of files.
