  • I-94 Taken at Interview. Traveling Soon.

    Hi there,

I have a quick question. I had my AOS interview today. At the interview, my interviewer took my I-94 without approving my case. I told her that I was planning to travel outside the country soon, but she still took it and only handed my travel document (AP) back. I always turned in my I-94 whenever I checked in at the airport, so I am wondering if I can still travel outside without an I-94 as long as I have an AP document.

    Thanks.

sorry to hear that. i think i am not the right person to answer your question.
But i want to know on what basis they didn't approve you, and how long you can stay here after your 485 refusal.

    Thanks,
    Sanjeeb.

Yep, that's the whole purpose of the Advance Parole (AP), for you to be able to travel out of US and return with no problems at the Immigration. As for your GC, relax buddy, yours is approved. The welcome letter should reach your mailbox anytime soon and the GC following 3-4 wks later.
