We had an GC intervew today...and..pls help

Thank you in advance for your help! Thats my falt but i didnt have on my interwev today forGC origanal birth certificate, I had only certified copy....and The USCIS representative told us within 30 days we will mail a decision to you BUT.... I may request a original BC......
QUESTION1: CAN THEY DENIED MY CASE BECAUSE OF BIRTH CERTIFICATE?

And QUESTION2, he didnt stamp my passport and he took my I-94 What is that mean???? We had plans with my husband in july to go to MY PARENTS, I wanted to meet them...and now Idont know what to think
Please, someone who can probably knows what is going on answer me.

If they took your I:94 you are in pretty good shape. You will receive your welcome letter in the mail and the green card will follow in less than 4 weeks.

The IO who interviewed us said that the procedure has changed, they no longer stamp the passport. I think your case will be approved, just try to relax.

I got the Welcome Letter already 5 days after our interview, but I'm still waiting for my GC to arrive in the mail (its been 17 days now).

Same here. I received my Welcome letter exactly 5 days after my interview. Waiting on the GC now too. I actually got a stamp in my passport. Its a "really, really" simple stamp-almost one that looks like it can be copied but I am sure its some sort of special ink that is tamper proof.
At any rate it been 10 calendar days now--not worried at all--I imagine it will arrive within the next 2 weeks.
I will update my posting when I get it.
One other brief suggestion---I am going to go to the Social security office to update my card---it presently says something like 'not authorized to work without INS approval". I have been told that if you have a green card you can get a new/updated SS card with no restrictions on it. I suggest we all get it updated. Its not required...I just suggest it in case you are hired by a company where the HR person after seeing your card with those restrictions are spooked.

That's true. The SS office is my first destination as soon as I receive my GC in the box. Btw, congrats on your GC!

Yep, practically, its the same thing written in the letter. Don't fuss about it too much . What is important is we have the understanding that they are referring to the Green Card.
