H1B extension while waiting for I-485?

I'm a Mexican citizen. We filed our I-485 on August 1st,2007 at Texas Service Center (Currently processing applications filed in or before August 8th,2007). I have an H1B visa valid until 11/09. I'm aware of the visa retrogression situation, but how should I proceed? Since I travel internationally often, should I need to file for an H1B extensions until my I-485 gets processed? Can I get my H1B stamp while in the US since I'm waiting for my I-485 to be processed?Do I file for an Advance Parole only?

I'll highly appreciate you advice in this matter.
