AOS Interview - Help on I-864 and Medical exams!

We received I-797 letters from USCIS to appear for INITIAL INTERVIEW for the completion of I-485 and says that we need to fill Affidavit of support (I-864) forms.

[Its employment based green card process. I am on H1B and my wife on H4]

- Do we both need to fill this form OR I should fill this form only for my wife (myself being sponsor)?

- Do we need to take medical exams again (We submitted medical forms when we filed for I-485 in July 2007)?

EB3 with PD Aug 07 (per USCIS letter)..

Hi Raghu,

Are you sure that the I-797 letter asked you to submit a medical form again?
My letter said to bring the medical form "(if not already submitted)". Did you not submit the Affidavit with your I-485? My letter also said to bring that to the interview (if not already submitted)

If this is also the case with your letter and you already submitted them then you obviously dont need to bring either to your interview, but you should have been given a personal copy of your med. form and if I were you I'd photocopy that anyway and take the photocopy with me just in case. I'm photocopying everything for my AOS interview on monday - whether necessary or not JUST because 'you never know...'.

Yes, I did submit the medical forms when we filed I-485 petition. As you mentioned, I may take copies of those with me just in case.

My GC was actually marriage based, sorry if that's of no real help. The interview went well, thanks so much and I'm now a Permanent Resident. I will post my experience as a new thread in this forum just in case there's a slight chance my experience could help anyone. What particular questions did you have about the affidavit of support?

Congratulations on your GC approval.

Mine is employment based GC process and from the other thread, I learned that I-864 (Affidavit of Support) forms are NOT needed for us.

Thank you for posting the information in fourms. we have interview and its eb2, they asked to bring i-864 form ( affidavit of support) in the list .
Did you guys filled it and taken to the interview. If yes do we have to make fill the form buy our employer , please let us know the details .. we badly waiting for this information.

Did you fill I-864 and take I-864 along with you for interview. what are the questions they asked in the interview. please share your experiences. i and my wife got for interview. Mine is employment based process. Does we have to fill the form I-864 and take with us to interview.
