waiting for USCIS to schedule a court date

does anyone know how long does it take to the USCIS to send your case to the immigration court for removal after they deny your case?
it's been 5 months since they denied my case.

Depending on the priorities of your local office it could take up to a couple years. Some people have hired lawyers to prompt CIS to place their clients in proceedings. I assuming that these people feel they can get a break from the court and are in a hurry to start proceedings, because it's weird to think of someone wanting to be deported (since they can always just leave on their own accord).
