Approved I140 but petitioner withdraw

Would it affect or reason for denial of the I485 application if the petitioner of an approved I140 withdraw? If so, it would mean that the employee will be tied with the current employer for as long as the I485 is pending which would probably take years or so.

Not as per the law if the person used AC21 and has a same/similar job and 180 days have passed but procedural errors have resulted in denials of some cases.
