H1B to I485 (famliy based GC)(Adjust Status)

Hi,

I am on H1B Visa in US( Valid till 2011) . My Brother is a Citizen Here. He is applying an family based green card to me.
Since am in US, Can I directly apply for I 485 (Adjustment of Status).

if yes ,what will be the processing time.
Please advise.

Prepare to wait for a very long time. You are in the 4th preference category. It will take about 15yrs!!. No kidding. My dad filed in 2002 (1st preference) my interview is Sept. 9th. Goodluck!
