1485 processing time

Notice Date: Oct 2001
EAD; received valid until Nov 2002
Finger printing completed: Dec 2001

My LIA approval is until Sep 2003 but , as is the practice for Indian passport holders, it has been stamped on my passport for only one year and expires Aug 2002. It has to be renewed in Sep 2002 for another year.

Question 1: If my i485 remains unadjudicated for 180 days from Oct . i.e until March 2002 DO I NEED TO go out of USA and get my LIA restamped IN Augu 2002? I mean I already have a EAD and my L1A is approved until 2003

Question 2: how long does it take after finger printing for the final GCARD? When do i need to do the medical test???

Once you get your EAD card, there's no reason to renew your L-1A unless you need it for travel permission. If you got an Advance Parole along with your EAD, there's no reason to renew your L-1A at all.

You should have taken a medical exam before you submitted your I-485 application, and enclosed it with the application. At least, that's how it is in California. It could be different in other places.

How long it takes for approval depends on which Service Center area you're in. What state are you from?
