Hi everyone,
I received my request for initial AOS interview on 7/21/09 and the interview date is 9/11/09. Unfortunately, I had already bought my ticket to Vietnam 2 weeks before that as I'd received my Advance Parole much earlier. I called and wrote a letter to USCIS to reschedule the date until after 11/05/09 and even got a confirmation number of such request to reschedule. My sister-in-law (who is reading our mails for us) told me that she received our new request for initial interview now for 9/4/09. SO instead of pushing it back like we requested, they changed it to 1 week earlier. Is it a case of messing up on USCIS side or they're just plain mean? What action should I take now that I'm out of the US and plain tickets are not cheap?
