approved I-130 says not eligible to adjust. HELP!

I have just received my I-130 approval notice (for spouse of US citizen) 2 days ago and it says that i am not eligible to FILE FOR ADJUSTMENT. Since i hadn't sent in the I-485 yet i spoke with a lawyer who said it was normal procedure and to go ahead and send the file for adjustment anyway.

I sent it today, and now Im wondering of it was the wrong thing to do. Anyone have a similar experience.????
