Desperate no Green card yet and want to get divorce

I really need help,
My case its a little bit complicated, I'm from South America, I came to usa on a turist visa I was already leaving with my husband USA born citizen, we were leaving in England UK.
I came here as a turist and his mother decided lol that we were going to get married, ok I got married and we went back to England, I got married in 2007 we were leaving together since 2005.
I never stayed more than my tourist visa allowed me, I was back and forth btwn usa and uk, I never applied for a green card while living in uk, Stupid I should have, but anyways, Last time I came to the US, my mother in law got sick and I stayed with her at ICU for 2 months, than my visa expired but before it expired we did everything with the attorney to adjust of status.
I have done my fingerprints on Feb. and on July they got a response for my case, I have working permitted until Feb. 2010, what they say on my status is that within 60 days sep. now they will decided if they will send my green card by mail or if i need a interview because we've been married for 2 years and i already have visa in uk been his spouse.
So the problem is that our relationship is not doing good, its very bad, and my concern is that if i have to wait for an interview i wont be able to keep leaving with him even till then.
I got married for love, but i dont love him anymore.
If we get separated, can i still get a green card, I'm studying leaving here, my life is here now.
What are my rights? if I have any.
