Dear all,
This is a tricky one! I came to the U.S. on an employment based E1-Visa and met my wife over here almost 2 years ago. We were planning on getting married this September until I found out I was getting laid off at the end of July. I had 10 days to leave the country, so we decided to get married before I was out of status. We filed I485, I130, I765 and I already got my EAD.
We are living together, have a joint bank account, tons of pictures, etc so we can prove a bona fide marriage. My question is what are our chances for getting my Greencard, since it looks like we only got married so I can stay in the U.S.?
What should we say at the immigration interview?
Would you recommend professional help by hiring an immigration attorney?
Thanks for your help.
