  • criminal record and waivers.. will it affect my green card application?

in august 2008, my h1b visa was rejected by the embassy in jakarta under section 212(a)(2)(A)(i)(1)... i was arrested in 2000 for spanking my dog, and was charged with a misdemeanor.. yes, i was young and stupid.. i admit tht

i applied for a 2a1 waiver and it was approved in nov 2008... i have returned to the US since then (and even went back to indonesia last month with no issues) and have not had any problem with the law

my H1b petition is valid only until mid 2011, so I am looking to ask my company for sponsorship next month. So, I was wondering what are the chances of me getting approved for a green card? thank you for your help

It would behove you to speak with an attorney, instead of thru this forum.
Your case seem a bit complicated.

    All the best.
