Extend B2 or change status to F2

Hi
I am on B2 and got recently married.My husband is doing his master in US and his course gets over in July 2010.my visa is stamped Feb 28, 2010.Should i apply for an extension of B2 or should i apply for change of visa to F2?Please advise. Iincase i go for an extension of B2, i have heard that there might be issues in returning to US later on.Is it right?

Don't waste time!

Your husband should contact his college's international office ASAP, where he will have to file for a new I-20 showing you as a dependent. He will have to also provide an affidavit of support on form I-134. Then you will file form I-539 to change your status. You can easily download these forms on /us-visa-and-immigration-forms/. I believe you should start the process now as it might take 4-6 months for USCIS to process your application. Please keep in mind I am not an attorney so my comments should not be taken as such
