hi my cousin got married to a us citizen 2 1/2 years ago and applied for green card which he got, they divorced about 1 year and 3 months later as she went back to her sons father. he submitted ebery thing he had inclusive of leases at the time, letters from friends, insurance policy, he worked with an airline and documents from them showing she was his benificiary. he recieved a letter today stating that he need s to send more showing good faith, main joint bank statements even though when they went to AOS interview they showed documents showing she was and still is in checks system and cannot get bank account , only he had one, utilities was in both their names. he has since remarried to another person who is also a citizen about 5 months ago, they are not closing on their first home and have a business together. Whats the worst case scenario for him if they dont grant him his I751 removal of conditions as he said he is not going to make up anything to send for them only what he had and he is not going to lie, any advice, or anyone with similar experiences.

Don't ignore!
He should send USCIS an affidavit explaining the situation. Burden is on him to show good faith marriage. He might have to show what action/s he took to save his marriage, which might include statements from his family, friends, a marriage counsler, etc. Never ignore any RFE from USCIS. If you do they simply deny your case.Filing GC application is very easy but when you have some twists to your case, it is always best for your own benefits to consult with an attorney. And that's what I would suggest for you as well.
