I was sworn in last year a a naturalized citizen, I have one of my children in the Philippines, whom I petitioned 2 years prior as a green card holder, I got an I 485 form from the internet and I don't see any spot for me to change my status into a citizen so I can mail it in and mention to upgrade my son's petition. need your help time is running out. I but would love to ask a lawyer but they keep trying to get me a retainer for a year. one of goverment worker mention about getting into a forum, hope this works.

Was the petition for your child already approved while you were a LPR?
From what I know: You cannot do AOS unless the child is present in the US. From what I know: You can send the form I 824 "Action on an Approved Petition" to upgrade the category if indeed the I 130 was approved.
