EAD from OPT Vs EAD from I-130/I-485 application

My wife is on OPT and has an EAD which restricts her to work in the field of her study as a student. We are applying for her I-130/I-485 and are wondering if she should apply for an EAD as well to get authorization for doing any kind of job (which would be very helpful at the moment).

On an OPT EAD, she would be restricted to work only in the field she has her education/degree.

Filing EAD when filing Aos (I-485), which is actually free as the fees are a part of the package, she would be able to work anywhere she gets a job (i.e. even in a gas station)

Thus it would actually be beneficial for you to file EAD with AOS.

Is this EAD card the I-765 Form? opposed to the OPT EAD card?

All EAD applications are made on I-765.
