Hi there,
my husband ( US citizen) and I got married recently while I was on my 60 days grace period following OPT ( I came to the US on F-1 visa); we had planned to file for AOS and I-130 shortly after marriage, but found out that we needed a co-sponsor. The 60 days grace period following OPT are up soon and we have yet to find a co-sponsor.
I was wondering if I should go back to my country before I am out of status and have my husband file the I-130 and affidavit once he has found a co-sponsor.
Would it be possible for me to file for the greencard from my home country even though my husband would be in the US at that time? And if so, would it be possible to visit him while the application is in process?
