  • I 130/i 485

Ok guys, just sent out my papers, I 130 and I 485 together. I did it myself, so since this site is where i got most of my info, I'll keep you up to date so maybe somebody else could use it. Thanks.

I wanned to edit the process of my case in My Signature, but for some reason it doesn't show it. So here it is:
      -November 3, 2009-mailed file
      -November 5, 2009-delivered at Chicago Lock-Box
      -November 10, 2009-notice date
      -November 14, 2009-received I-797C in mail for I-130, I-485 and I-765. I did not apply for I-131.
-November 13 2009-notice date for Biometrics
      -November 21 2009-recived Biometrics appointment for December 3 2009
-December 3 2009-fingerprints done. straightforward process.
sometimes this can happen. exactly the day before, i somehow managed to cut my right hand thumb really bad, and honestly thought i they would not be able to take my fingerprints. however, it was to late to cancel or reschedule so i decided to go of course, but just to get another appointment. i was trying as much as possible not to use my right hand, and left the cut open so it would dry out and maybe stick together a little. it was a long shot, but by the time i got there, it actually did, and they were able to do the job. however they did tell me that if they would have still use ink for it, it could not be done. boy was i happpppy
-December 5 2009- received REF letter. apparently i forgot to include the w2's for both my wife and co-sponsor, and my co-sponsor's birth certificate to prove he's a USC.
-January 6 2010- mailed the requested documents
-January 10 2010- requested documents received by USCIS office.
      -January 19 2010- I 765 application approved
-January 28 2010- received EAD card in mail
-February 11 2010- recived interview appointment for March 17 2010. Notice date Feb 5 2010
-March 17 2010- Interview date. Everything went very well, became a temporary Permanent Resident. For story on the interview experience look at the post I wrote in this thread

couldn't tell u for sure. for sure USCIS will not like it if you won't tell them u moved and they'd find out somehow. **** like this happens, i live with rent, so it could happen to me also. there is probably a form that u can file and tell em the new address, but i don't know which . look around on this site, i found pretty much all the info i needed when i filled mine.

Which Chicago Lockbox address the whole packet should go?

              Hey,
I am going file i 130 and i 485 concurrently. I am confused about the mailing addresses.
Which Chicago Lockbox address should the packet go? Is there only one packet containing i130 and i485 sub packets?
Are two different packets to be sent on two different lockbox address as per the i 130 and i 485 instructions?
              Please help!

you should send everything to the address where you should send the I-485 form. I'm not a lawyer.

Had a few setbacks. Haven't sent the application out yet. Will definitely update the progress.

actually, i had every application in a separate envelope, and then all envelopes in a bigger 1 I got from the post office. sent everything to the address where I-485 was supposed to be sent. didn't understand your tax question. you mean your personal tax, or your wife, or who's taxes?
