  • H1B AOS to GC - Do u have to let employer know?

Once we get married and my guy gets the GC/EAD do you "HAVE" to let the employer know of the change in status or is it okay if we dont? Due to some complications, we do not want the employer to find out about the change in status it. Any possibility of doing this?

    Change of status/ Frooty.

Frooty. It is important that you let your employer be aware of your Visa status, not only for tax purposes, but it may come to haunt you when you go for citizenship interview or determination. Do everything right untill you become a citizen or untill when you no longer need to appear before an IO/USCIS.
