i-485 denied

My I-140 was approved December 2008. My I-485 has been pending since august 2007. In june 2009, I changed employer with my EAD and using AC21. However, I have not sent the offer letter from the new employer yet because my priority date is January 17, 2007 and the current date as of december is June 2001. I thought that they are not going to proceed with my I-485 process until my priority date becomes current. But today, I received an email from USCIS that they sent me a DENIAL DECISION NOTICE. I have not seen yet what the reasons for denial are.

Do you think there is still a chance appeal about my AC21 status that could possibly change their decision?

I have not receive any Request for Evidence or notice for an interview.

You should wait to see why you were denied and follow instructions in the letter. unless you know the reason, you cannot take steps to rectify the problem,as it could be anything , right?

thank you very much for the response. by the way, can I still work with my EAD from the day my I-485 denial notice was sent until an MTR is filed and accepted? thanks.
