Hi guys, thanks in advance for any help.
My situation upto this point - Entered US in 2002 on F1, got a job in Finance, used OPT for first year, then 3 yrs of an H1B, renewed H1B uptill Spring 2011. Got married to USC in May 2009. Lost my job at sponsoring firm in Aug 2009. Applied for AOS/EAD/AP on 1st dec09, received receipts etc.
So my situation got potentially very tricky this past week, when I got my dream job offer. The firm is a participant of TARP, but recently paid it back. So my questions are
1) Is it possible to start work on the H1-B (transfer) without interfering in the AOS paperwork? (and also how does the tarp affect this)
2) Even if it stops the AOS, will it hurt my chances of getting the H1-B transfered or when i reapply for the GC before spring 2011?
3) If it is best to wait for my EAD to arrive, and use that to start working?
4) And if I choose to wait for the EAD will it be quicker if I do my biometrics before the scheduled appt? (I've yet to receive the appt...but will this tactic jeopardise my EAD/AOS at all)
Sorry thats quite a lot of stuff.
Really appreciate all your input.
Happy holidays to all
