  • I-864 Affidavit of support

I have a question about the affidavit of support and any suggestion from you would be helpful.

I married my husband (American citizen) in August, and we are working on getting my GC.
My husband's current year's income is over $20,000, but he's going to quit this job in the early of January 2010 and find another part-time job. He's going back to school to finish his degree. My question is if I still need to find a joint-sponsor regardless if he's qualified for this year? Will USCIS later ask for a evidence of current job pay stub in 2010 by the time of interview? I'm planning to send my application out in January 2010, and don't know if I really need a joint-sponsor.

If anyone knows what I should do, please let me know ASAP. I will really appreciate your help!

    Thank you!

As you long as you put the accurate information at the time of preparing I-864, you don't have to report if your income changes after that.
