  • Immigration interview!

My family based petition was approved in October, 2009. Subsequently, I had my fingerprinting done, received EAD and AP. Yesterday, I received a notice requesting that I appear for an interview in Feb 2010.

What does the interview often entail?

I am assuming my case is fairly straightforward, with my studying here, and my parents (US Citizens) petitioning for my greencard.

I look forward to your replies!

Wishing you all a very happy new year!

It depends. If you are under 21, then yes straight forward case. If you are over 21 however, you must not be out of status. If you overstayed your visa and your petition was not filed before April 30,2001, then you will have a problem. I just had my AOS denied because i was over 21 and overstayed my visa. Goodluck!

      Great! Thanks for the info.

I am above 21, and so far, have not overstayed my visa.

Also in what form of notification you received of your denial? Letter? verbal?
