I-824 follow-to-join pending for too long
I have filed follow-to-join petition I-824 to TSC May 2009 on behalf of my family. Since then I have heard nothing from US CIS, although the case is now well beyond any timeframes 
advertised by US CIS web site.
No RFE had been issued. US CIS online status says the case is in the Initial Review state, exactly as it was at the very beginning almost 8 months ago.
My I-485(EB-2) petition was approved Feb 2009. Country of chargeability is Russia.
Does anybody know what does this situation mean? Does anybody have similar case?
Any opinion would be highly appreciated.
