My PD was on July 27th 2018. I received my EAD Jan 3rd 2019 and Interview was this morning March 18th 2019 in St Louis.
So we arrived and waited for 45 mins before we were called. I had already contemplated taking my son in with me then finally decided to leave him with our nanny because of distractions. I must confess that I didn't really prepare for this interview but my husband assured me that it'll be alright since our marriage was real.
As soon as the IO met us, she greeted us and asked us to keep our phones in a locker. Then we proceeded and took the truth oath. Then she asked us to sit and she started to go over the form i130 with us (so make sure to know what you filled) after that, she brought out the form i485 and went through it with us. At this time she is asking us to mention our full names and our son names and parents names. She confirmed our address from us and asked how long she lived there. I am an F1 student so she put that down where I forgot to mark in the form. I filled the form myself so there were a couple of errors. I put in my husband's name somewhere I shouldn't have but she crossed it with a pen.
After going through the two forms with us, she asks us if we have any other documents we want to add and we gave her our health insurance doc. My husband and I only have insurance, lease and phone bill as our joint documents but since we didn't add the health insurance doc, we took it with us.
Honestly, I didn't have the strongest document sets but it was successful. After she took the documents, she asked me what drives me crazy about my husband and asked him the same. I told her I disliked his obsession with football and he said he didn't like my nagging, then she laughed and supported me that all women nag.lol
She then told me that she would give me a paper stating that my case was under review (which she did) because she needed to correct the mistakes on the form i485 and she would try to make sure she does it today and I'll get my green card in two weeks. I thanked her and we left. The whole interview took about 15 mins. I got home around 12 pm and by 4:45 pm I received an update that my case was approved and a new card was being produced. So basically it took about 8 months. I'm happy it's over. It is not as terrifying as I thought but I think it also depends on your IO. Mine was very young and friendly. Good luck guys
