  • Contact Congressman to help speed up my Interview decision?!?

    Hello Everyone,

Today makes 51 days since my interview and I have no updates whatsoever. I received a letter saying my case is under review after the interview and nothing so far.

My wife's Work permit has already expired as well as her extension and we never got a new one.

I read somewhere that my congressman could help me out, I'm not really sure if this would help or make things worse.

Can someone please help me out, is this a good idea? Has anyone used it before?

They technically have 120 days to make a decision. But alot of people always contact the congressman, even if the 120 days is not met. I would personally wait a few more days/weeks and then reach out to congressman.

Did you talk with L2 officer about this?
Is not right that you applied for EAD renewal and you didn't get it.

I went personally with an infopass.

Regarding the Work Permit, he said someone looked at it 2 weeks ago, that is moving along, what a joke right?
Regarding the green Card, he sent an e-mail to his boss asking to expedite, but so far nothing!!

I heard that these 120 days only apply to naturalization, I heard there is not time limit for them to actually make a decision, I think I even saw that written down on the own web-site.

I heard of people waiting much longer than 120 days. Believe or not
