Hello,
I have two questions regarding my case. I hope I can find some clarity here as I'm getting really confused with the process. I had a petition to transfer to Greencard from H1B through my employer. My case was approved in December 7th 2018 after my interview with a USCIS agent in November 2018. I have received a notice letter as confirmation that my case was approved from USCIS.
When I check my status on the USCIS site my case says:
As of March 26, 2019, we completed our review of your fingerprints and are working on your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, Receipt Number #####, at our National Benefits Center location.
It was in Nebraska Center with same text before this update. So if my case is approved why is it still being reviewed, for so long, for what? I would have thought if it is approved, you print the Welcome package and Greencard and send it. Is it somehow not approved or there is some error for my case?
My second question about traveling. My local USCIS doesn't provide InfoPass interviews or walkins and I would like to travel outside of the country. Can I try to go to a USCIS office in a different city to get the stamp? I'm not sure how much longer I will need to wait to get my Greencard in hand which is getting aggravating.
