485 without Supplement J -- possibilities??

I have EB3 and EB2 cases approved within my company. My date is current in EB3 but my company says that they will process my latest case which is EB2 and they are not filing my 485/AOS in EB3.

My company is ready to give me supplement J for EB2 but not for EB3.

Can I apply 485/AOS without supplement J? Please provide more information so that I can confidently go with this option or not. Kindly provide your inputs at your earliest convenience. Thank you in advance.
