  • Moving out of state: use a p.o. box from NY instead of changing address to NJ?

    Hi-

Is it ok to change my address to a p.o. box in the same state I submitted my application in? I don't the clock to reset.
i.e: I applied in NY, and I'm 12-months into waiting for the interview (485), if I move to NJ can I continue using a P.O. box from NY, or do I need to update my address to reflect NJ?

What happens if I update my address to the state I'm moving to? Will my application be placed at the back of the pile?

I have seen people that get an interview notice a few weeks after moving (to the nearest office at new address), so I don't think the application be placed at the back of the pile. My guess is that they receive the application and in a few weeks see if they can set an appointment according to you PD.
