criminal record report required with i-485 application?

Hi,


I was told that I should include "criminal record report" with my I-485 application, but as far as i know USCIS is running background check on their own, so is it really required for me to include it in application?

And is it even safe to try to obtain "criminal record report" from police before I get my status adjusted, since my I-94 is already expired?

Only if..

You need your criminal reports if you were ever arrested, charged, pleaded/found guilty of crimes (other than minor traffic violations if no actual arrest occured). Copies of court certified records must be submitted with the AOS package. On interview day, you are required to present court certified original records.
