hi guys,
We have filled our I-485 on feb 1 and my wife caught shoplifting in one of retail store. She was finger printed and photographed as well. We hired local criminal lawre down here and he was able to dismiss the case but she has to go through PTI program to expunge the record. My question is , what effect it would have on our I-485 status. She has never been in problem before and there was big misunderstanding regarding shoplifting as well but her english is not that good and they charged her with shoplifting. Any way , Would she be able to get green card now and she is gonna get banned completely . Plz let us know or if somebody have been through this experience plz let me know
