I am on F-1(student status) and my wife is going to school. She doesn't have enough finances to show herself as my sole sponsor and we probably would need a joint sponsor. But my question is what if i am getting funding from some professor? Do you think we still have to find a joint sponsor even though i have my own funds?

Affidavit of support is for living expenses, not educational expenses.

My spouse who is a US citizen, gets scholarship and the scholarship covers the 125% of poverty guideline for 2ppl household which is i guess $18212!!! Any idea whether the scholarship can be used to cover the 125% poverty guideline for 2 ppl or she is supposed to be working and making this much money to cover the 125% poverty guideline? The scholarship covers the education and living for her.

F1 to F3 status

hi everyone,

my wife has an approved F1 petition from her US citizen dad. yesterday she received a letter from national visa center informing that her visa number is currently available. our problem is she has a different status now that she is married does anybody know what we need to do? we are still interested to migrate to u.s.a. please help...

Now, she is no longer in F1 but F3. Inform NVC of married status.
