Plus you were very lucky that your case has been moving quickly since you received your EAD after less than 5 months when most people are waiting 6months+...Anyway, just trying to understand the timeline on how soon the DC office is processing people for an interview...Keep us posted when you receive your interview notice Good luck!

It's interesting that you got in line for the interview on 1/30/19, but MariaBondo got in line for the interview on 2/14/19 and her interview is before yours....I thought that once people received their notice for the interview to be scheduled they would get their number in line for the interview, but comparing your case and MariaBondo's case in theory you should have your interview scheduled prior to hers...One more proof that they don't schedule things in order

I haven’t received any updates since I got the EAD. We were surprised to get it after roughly 90 days from the PD. So now that my husband has a SSN I’ve added him to my health insurance, he’s going to get a license soon so we can have joint auto insurance and filling the gaps for everything that unfortunately we couldn’t do as “proof of a Bona Fide marriage” when he didn’t have a SSN. Not sure when we will get the interview, but I’m getting all materials together now so we won’t be stressing when the notice comes in the mail. I will share any updates as I receive them with you guys. And the best of luck to everyone here!Last edited by AllSmiles123; 05-07-2019, 03:22 PM.AOS, spouse to US citizen Fairfax, VA

My husband and I got some pretty exciting news yesterday afternoon....His interview was scheduledI called USCIS and spoke to a tier I who said that she did not have access to the date of the interview, so we will have to wait and see when that will be. I anticipate it was scheduled for 4-6 weeks from now, since most people in this forum report that their interviews are posted 4-6 weeks ahead. Here's his updated timeline again:
AOS, spouse to US citizen Washington, DC
Concurrent filing I485, I130, I765, I102
9/24/18 package sent
9/27/18 PD
11/1/18 Biometrics (Alexandria USCIS office)
3/12/18 Case is ready to be scheduled for an interview (this was the first update that we received since the biometrics...no updates regarding fingerprinting processed, nothing at all)
3/18/19 I-765 approved
3/20/19 I-765 NOA in the mail
4/6/19 Social Security card received in the mail
In April 2019 I called USCIS twice because we never received a notice that my husband's EAD card was sent to production after we received the I-765 notice. I initially called after 2 weeks
and they told me that the card can take 30 days to be sent to production. Then I called on 4/18/19 (a month after approval) and the representative opened a service request.
4/18/19 Service request opened for I-765
4/22/19 EAD Card was sent to production
4/25/19 EAD Card was mailed
4/29/19 EAD Card arrived in the mail
5/8/19 Case status changed to interview scheduled
So happy to see that cases are moving along in the DC office and that we don't have to wait as long as other field offices do I will keep you guys posted once we receive a date for the interview. Good luck to all!!!

Thanks VF123!!! It's good news for all of us who have DC as their field office as it shows that they are processing our cases faster than the 8 to 19.5 months as listed in the USCIS processing time frame.

No idea why it took so long to change...I have read other postings when people's status did not change at all, just like my husband's and they went months without getting any updates and not knowing where they were in the process. We did not have any RFE, but like I said his status didn't even change to fingerprints reviewed or nothing and it took him forever not only to get his EAD, but to get in line to have the interview scheduled. I really think they process cases at the NBC based on how easy/difficult they are...I have noticed that people who have either H1B or F1 status tend to get processed in front of others because their case may be easier to process...that's just my observation...My husband has been out of status for 26 years here in the U.S. and even though he has no prior criminal record, I assume his fingerprinting/case in general took longer to be processed through NBC because of that compared to somebody else's case who may have been here for less time or may not be out of status yet, like people who have F1 and H1B
I have seen a couple of other people from DC field office that got their notice to ready to schedule interview after 1-2 months of their PD and then they get a notice for the interview 3-4 months later. I would not worry if I were you, even though I know it's stressful, but your case is moving faster than others (like in our case), so you will more likely be receiving a notice in the next couple of months. Consider yourself lucky There is nothing we can do but wait and trust me, I know how frustrating it is to wait for USCIS' grace to process all these cases as it took me 8 years myself to get my I485 through employment based. Hang in there and let's continue to share our timeline in case we get any updates online or in the mail
BTW, have you got your EAD yet? I'm assuming you haven't since the were people in September still waiting to get theirs...One of the people in the DC field office that I read got his EAD on 1/23/19 and a notice for interview on 1/24/19, so I would not be surprised based on your timeline that you will be receiving your EAD card about the same time that you get the notice for the interview....Filing from Alexandria, VA USC Married to b2
