Hi,
What you could do is to have your mother in law write a letter stating that you and your husband indeed live with her and get that notarized. She will need to go to the notary public herself and swear in front of him/her.
I am not a lawyer , it's just an idea.
You can also get application forms for health insurance benefits from your husbands health insurance, he could also add you to his pension.
we submitted the applications for those, and they were accepted.
Another thing is to bring any letters from your home country that you received while in the US in your mother in-law's house addressed to you as a recipient.
If you have any receipts of items you purchased together that could help too...
I think when you go for the interview, just explain it to them and maybe a notarized statement from your mother in-law could help.
Once again I am not a lawyer, so use this with caution.
I hope this was helpful
