We were interviewed at the local USCIS field office in Hartford, CT on Dec 2018. They requested an RFEI (I-864) which is supposed to be due around May 20. According to USPS, Hartford field office received my RFEI on April 15. My Case Status online (USCIS website) says, they have received it on April 22 and followed by Our National Benefits Center office will begin working on your case again.....,.This message created so much confusion on my part. Aside from stating that they have received it a week later that what USPS tracking says, I don't know why NBC will work on the case again. I thought NBC's job is to forward the application to the local field office for interview after they have worked on it. We got interviewed already & it was the local field office who requested for a new I-864 because by the time they scheduled us for interview ( a year later) they deemed the I-864 old. Has anyone here have the same experience?
