  • Redo I-693 Medical Exam?

    Hello everyone

My AOS interview is scheduled for mid June and I’m puzzled about whether to redo the medical exam. I did my exam in late Jan 2018 and submitted I-693 with my application in Feb 2018. From what I gathered online, I think my I-693 is valid for 2 years (https://www.uscis.gov/policy-manual/...rt-b-chapter-4).

I was wondering if anyone here with similar situation who has had their interviews recently? Is a new medical exam required?

    Thanks!!

Someone posted that went to the interview, the officer didn't know about the new 2 year rule, they gave the officer the printout of what you linked, and they didn't ask for new medical exam.

The policy is clear, your medical (because it was signed less than 60 days than the I485 submitted date) is valid for 2 years.

JunkMart thank you for looking into this. But I disagree, take a look at this table from the policy manual:

          As long as:
          - form I-693 was submitted with I-485 before November 01, 2018
          - signed by the civil surgeon less than 60 days prior to submit the I-485
then that form is valid for 2 years.

So, in this case (signed in January 2018, submitted in February 2018), the I-693 is valid until January 2020.

You're correct. I misread, and failed to take into account the date the medical was done. OP please ignore my previous post. You should be good to go. Thank Enub4!
