Can i work on CPT with pending I-485? Anyone has the same experience, please share.

I'm currently on OPT and it will expire in less than 3 weeks. I'm thinking of re-entering school and apply for CPT (to continue working). Is it going to impact my pending gc application?
I'm not sure if I should go down the route!
And my 765 EAD is pending..

If I remember correctly, for the school to authorize CPT you should have at least 1 semester of studies (maybe it was a restriction at my school), if that is the case, it will be hard to go back to school and start the summer with CPT authorization at your current work. I think you can't work full-time on CPT.

I was on OPT when applying for marriage based green card. It wouldn't affect your application if you decide to go back to school and do CPT or whatever. However, if your purpose is to be able to keep working, my suggestion is applying for work permit with the green card application. Because CPT doesn't grant your full time work permit and it has a lot of registriction based on your course work.
