My husband and have been married for 6 years. I filed my adjustment of status in January, they received it on the 17th 2019. Did my biometrics on the 22 February and on the 27th the status on online stated that the application is ready for an interview.

However, I though I would have recieved the EAD by now, it's been 18 weeks. the lawyer said it would take 12 weeks.

This is in Ct. Can anyone advice me if their EAD a long time to process? Has anyone filed this year and received their EAD already?

I filed in December 2018 and havent received EAD or any correspondence at all, or any case status updates at all, other than the fingerprint completion update back in January. You are not alone.

You just should be patient. We are now in a new immigration services era. Everything related to USCIS is taking long amount of time. I filed for AOS Oct. 31 and just got my EAD in the mail a month ago, April 20 to be accurate. A friend of mine took 7.5 months to get her EAD. So shouldn’t nothing weird. Just be patient and wait for your turn.

Unfortunately it's taking a really long time for USCIS to issue EADs and I know it's hard to be patient and wait, there is nothing that can be done. I (US citizen) filed for my husband and his PD is 9/27/18. It took him 7 months to receive his EAD and he only received it in April 2019, so it's probably going to take a while for you to receive yours. Also, don't stress if you don't receive any updates online for months. My husband never got any updates at all until USCIS approved his EAD, not even an online update that fingerprints were processed or anything. At one point I thought that his file was just sitting at someone's desk and nothing was being done, especially when I saw other people posting that they had their status changed to fingerprints processed, etc. It's a waiting game, so don't stress it because currently it's taking at least 5 months for most people to get their EAD. Good luck

I agree with everything that Nady said. A friend of mine that applied in November for AOS (c)9, from B2 visa, never got any update until 2 weeks ago when the case status changed to "Interview is ready to be scheduled." But no EAD yet...
Plus, comparing your case to other cases is nerve wrecking because every case is different.
More to that, what you are adjusting from is also a key factor: are you adjusting from B1/B2, from J's, from HB's....people sometimes forget to put that in their signature. And it does matter.

I think you're less than halfway there Meanwhile, enjoy the ride along all of us in this crazy USCIS train.
