  • Is My Case Timeline Normal?

Hey, just looking for some information based on the timeline of my case and to find out if it matches up with anyone else here. Filed I-485, I-765 and I-130 on March 11th this year. I received receipts for all three a few days later on March 15th, and a few days after that I received my biometrics appointment notice which said I should attend my appointment April 12th. However, after attending my appointment, I haven't heard a single thing in the last 7 weeks. No case updates or requests for more information, is this normal? When tracking my cases it says the last update to my I-765 case was 81 days ago (Case Was Received), and the last update to my I-485 case was 77 days ago (Fingerprint Fee Was Received) - I've read some forums online that say once they pass 90 days without an update it can be recommended to contact an ombudsman to look into the matter, would this be recommended if I don't hear anything within the next 2 weeks? I'm aware the green card process can be long, and I have no problem with that whatsoever, however, I'm more concerned about my EAD and how long it will be to receive that. Any experiences similar here that may know when I'm likely to receive the EAD? Any help or information would be appreciated!

Many EADs are taking 6-9 months. Some people even get the GC around 7-10 months and no EAD.

My case is similar to yours. It’s been 101 days since last status update, but there’s nothing new.

We didn't send the I-693. I see many people saying that they receive a 'courtesy letter' saying that they don't have the form on file, and that must bring one to the interview.

I think, if I haven't received that letter, no-one is looking at our case (PD just became current). But someone said that they never received a letter and the interview appointment listed all the documents and did mention to bring a current/valid I-693, so maybe not receiving the 'courtesy' letter is not that important. I should wait for the status to change to 'ready to schedule an interview'.

              Oh, I see.
I didn't know they'd take the application without that form.

I don't know that there is such thing as normal...

I filed May of 2018, had my EAD September of 2018 (after having it expedited for hardship), had my interview October 2018 and have heard nothing since. Case Manager told us to expect a decision in 60 days (there's a pending inadmissibility waiver on the case as well) and 8 months later, still waiting.

Where’s your field office borderlands? Sorry to hear there hasn’t been any progress since your interview.
