Hi there! I have the same problem (received confirmations for my cases on 16th April and still to this date no biometrics..... ) so I called them..... The guy I talked to had an additude and claims that basically no one receives their biometrics within two weeks... he has 'NEVER heard of ANYONE getting biometrics that soon'..... tried to explain to him that that can not be accurate but no succes. Apparently they tell their agents at USCIS that it is normal to wait up to two months so they wont do anything until then....
But it could of course be you have better luck if you call them! I on the other hand am still waiting.....

Thank you so much ! I have no idea why for some people it takes time whereas it takes 5-6 days for some people. And it is the same timeline with those who got theirs earlier. This is really weird. I don’t know why they say people don’t get their appointment so soon when people really get their biometrics that soon lol I will give them a call today. And update you

L1 officers will always say that you have to wait 30-60 days for the letter (from all the posts I read).

The problem with that is that most biometric appointments are set less than 40 days after they receive the package (some could be 5-8 weeks later).

If I were starting the process again and after all I read, I would talk with L2 officer around day 30 just to make sure the letter wasn't lost in the mail. From what I understand, L1 officers can't see if the biometric letter was sent and L2 officer not only can see that, but can send a copy by fax so you can bring that to your appointment.
Nov 2018 - Package sent - EB - Texas Service Center
Day 1 - Package received at the lockbox
Day 999 - Card delivered to me - Aug 2021
        ---

So can I just simply request to speak to a L2 officer? Any idea what would happen if the letter did get lost in the mail and you don't show up for your appointment?

I just talked to I guess an L1 officer and he told me he can see that nothing has been scheduled yet. Because we told him that we are worried if the letter has been lost in the mail or not and he said I see that nothing has been scheduled. But I ditto your question: how can we request to talk to an L2 officer?

            thank you everyone

Oh thank you for letting me know! My L1 officer wasn't even nice enough to look that up.... it was so frustrating to be on hold for 40 min just to get a very generic answer.

You are most welcome. I know... it is frustrating! And I did not even get the NOAs in the mail till this day- we just got I130 petition one and he was nice enough to tell if I have receipt numbers that is sent though email that is enough. I think we need to wait another week or maybe two weeks and give them a call again and try to speak L2 officer.

Good idea. I just found out that I will be getting an RFI soon... which is puzzling cos I haven't even done my biometrics.

How did you figure out that? Did they update the online profile ?

Not the online profile but I have downloaded an app called 'case tracker' and that seems to be more up to date than the USCIS account.

I wonder from where they are getting the information.

I’m also waiting for my biometrics letter... The date on my NOA1 is April 15th. I call L2 on May 31st and they told me that they cannot set up the first appointment, so they proceed with a service request.
