Birth certificate for old parent - i485

I got I-130 approved for my father's I-485 who is 84 years old. For filing his I-485 he doesn't have any birth certificate records. We could get a non availability certificate from his village. Addiionaly he can give self affidavit (notarized) for his birth date as there is no one elder than him alive any more. Any suggestions please, what other alternates are there certifying his birth. Thanks in advance
