  • Medical Test during Pregnancy?

I want to file for I-485 soon. My wife is pregnant and is due in Feb 2005.

I don't know what all Vaccines have my wife and I had taken earlier in India.
Is there a test which tells, what all Vaccination has been done on a person?

What are my options? Please let me know.

    Jai Hanuman

    re

I think the best person to tell you this would be the doctor who you go to for your check up...
There are a couple of vaccines that you need to take that you cannot take if you are pregnant (I remember when I had gone to get my vaccinations the doctor had specifically asked me if I was pregnant before giving the vaccine)..
you can ask the doctor's staff when you call for an appointment..

      Medical Tests and Pregnancy

      Hello CSingh,

      Thanks for your advise.
Here's what i'm planning to do:
      1) Do a "Titter"/other tests on my blood sample as well as my wife's. This should give results for
      a) MMR b)AIDS c)ChickenPox(Vericella)

      2) We have taken TB test about a year back and it was negative, do we have to do it again and is it possible during 3rd trimester of Pregnancy?

      Please advise

      thanks!

All children in India are given the following vaccines during childhood - Mumps, Measles, Rubella , Polio , Tet****, Diphtheria toxoids, Pertussis, Influenza type B, Hepatitis B

Get a letter from your family doctor in India that these vaccines were given to you during your childhood. For immigration medicals, doctors charge you around $250. If you show them this letter, they will charge only $100.
