  • Interview with no employer

    Dear All,

I just got a reply from USCIS about my final Interview which is set on July 3rd 2019. I'm currently working for my petitioner as a contractor though.
Can my petitioner stop my interview? If I go to the interview, will it be problematic if I'm not emplyed?

    Thanks,

To rephrase my whole problem, I was working for a company for 5 years since 2014. My employer applied for Green Card in 2015. In 2019 I got a date for my Green Card Interview. But NOW, I'm not a fulltime employer, whereas I'm a contractor for the SAME employer.
Can I still go to do my interview?
Does my immigration lawyer have to be with me in the interview?
How can I be sure that I can go to do the interview and still be legitimate
    Thanks,

It might be an issue. Talk to your lawyer. They don't have to attend the interview.
