  • Interview Letter

Hi I have a question regarding interview letter and I would really appreciate your help or insights

I am based in Brooklyn, NYC. 16 days ago, I got a notification on my USCIS case status of my I485 which says interview was scheduled. However, I have not received any letter yet. I called USCIS customer service while the tier 1 representative said that they cannot find any info.

I wonder if it is common for New York/Brooklyn Filer to take this long to receive the letter? Or could anybody give me any suggestions here. Thank you!

    Thanks.

Hi, you should call Tier 2 Customer service and you will receive a call back from them since they receive a flood of calls. You will just request Tier 1 that you urgently need to talk to Tier 2 officer since they know more about your case and they will tell you when will be your interview and where. In case, you should also update the tier 2 of your new address to send the interview letter. It should not take more 1 weeks to receive your letter. I called tier 1 and they dont know anything about my interview schedule so I requested to talk to tier 2 officer. He just said that I will receive a callback on the same day I called. Tier 2 gave me all the details of the interview and if I did not receive the letter before 1 week of the interview schedule, they will fax the letter. Fortunately, I receive the letter after 1 week of changed status online.
