Didn’t sign the check?

Hi all! I sort of stumbled upon this forum when doing some research, but I have loved reading everyone’s responses. Our application (485, 130/A, 131, 864, 765, G1145) was received by the mailroom at the Chicago lockbox on June 11th and I haven’t expected to have any sort of answer or acceptance yet, but I was struck by this sudden concern (thanks anxiety!) that even though I checked everything three times that through it all I somehow forgot to sign the check. If that is true what exactly would happen next and how long would it take them to decline it/send it back? I have signed up for USPS alerts and I don’t have any packages coming my way it seems and I sent an email to the lockbox email, but the automatic reply said it takes up to thirty days to get a response.

I’m just curious if there is something I can do to remedy things if I did not sign?

If you did not sign the check, they will return your package. When they do that, then you can sign the check and send it back. There is nothing you can do but wait.

Hi Meghana, I am kind of in the same situation as you are. I sent all the package details but realized that I did not sign the G-1450 form (Credit card authorization form) for the payment. I was wondering if you could share what happened with your application packet. Did USCIS lockbox facility return your application packet because of the missing signatures on the cheque or if they allowed you to resubmit new cheques to process the application? How much time did it take for them to contact you / returning the App packet?
