Laid off my job,while AOS 1-485 is pending

I recently got laid off my job of 10 years, they had already petitioned for me for my Green card. Does this loss of job impact the AOS even if its in the last stages ?. Also would I be able to legally apply for Unemployement ?

More than unemployment benefits, you need to worry about maintaining your legal status, as you would be out of status once you don't have that job.
