Manhattan, NYC Case - Form I-485

Hey, guys, i live in Manhattan, NY and i filed my papers on October 2018, i just got a notification that my work authorization is on the way (after 8 months of my biometric appointment smh). My question is how long it takes to get a date for the interview? my I-485 case was updated on May 11, 2019, saying that "Is ready to be scheduled" and it hasn't changed since then. My case is being checked for the National Benefits Center and I hear they are being delayed. Any thought?.

Also, I have two friends (different couples) that live in Queens, NY and they filed after me and they already went to the interview and got the green card (its because they papers goes to a different office).

Different officers, different work loads, different times. There is no rhyme or reason. I think sometimes cases are put away or misplaced, that's the only way I can understand things. I hope you get your interview soon.

I applied July 2018, and haven't heard anything since I got my EAD/Parole in October 2018. It seems like a 1.5 year wait in Manhattan. Queens, on the other hand is going very very fast.

Usually it's 1 year and 6 months or a year after your EAD approval for Manhattan.

Interview for those in Queens and Long Island is going really fast at 5 to 9 months after PD. Brooklyn is around 10-12 months after PD.
