Hello. My EAD is expiring in three weeks. I mailed a renewal but it wAs returned due to a missing document. I just mailed one again two days ago. My question is due to the delays to actually receiving the actual EAD card can I use Notice of Action to renew my driver’s license? I know we can use the Notice of Action to show employers that EAD is automatically valid for 180 days after expiring. Has anyone successfully used NOA to renew EAD?

The problem with drivers licenses is that the requirements varies a lot from State to State. I have seen some people (I think it was New York), that went to nearest office and they denied the renewal but went to other office and were successful. The only way to find out is to visit them.Nov 2018 - Package sent - EB - Texas Service Center

Hello!
i just want to share you my experience. I’m a San Francisco filer, and sent the renewal of my combo card 6months prior to the expiration. After getting the receipts, I then went to the local dmv and brought all the requirements, and ofcourse the receipts. The woman saw that our ead is extended automatically when we file for the renewal. So she approved me of a new license and it’s good for 5 years. I was surprised.
